Our production of KIGO climate ceilings in Elgg

KIGO climate ceilings represent an innovative solution for energy-efficient heating and cooling. Since KIGO was founded in 1975, the company has been developing and producing high-quality air conditioning systems under the umbrella of SOLTOP Energie AG. Production takes place at several locations, including Elgg in the canton of Zurich and Sierre in Valais.

Precise production for maximum efficiency

The KIGO COPPER heat exchanger, which was specially developed for the thermal activation of metal cassettes in cooling and heating ceilings, is manufactured in Elgg. The patented design comprises a copper sheet with a standard width of 390 mm or 590 mm, most of which is perforated rectangularly. A copper tube with a diameter of 12 mm is laser-welded onto the non-perforated areas. This manufacturing and welding technique has long been used in the production of solar absorbers for glazed collectors. The special geometry of the sheet enables perfect flatness after welding. The KIGO copper heat exchanger is fully glued into the metal cassette in the factory, which is usually fitted with an acoustic fleece.

Versatile application possibilities

KIGO air-conditioned ceilings offer an ideal and economical solution for air-conditioning rooms. With various installation options, such as ceiling sails or wall panels, they can be used flexibly in different areas, including offices, medical facilities, laboratories, industrial and commercial buildings. The KIGO heat exchangers are characterized by high specific cooling and heating capacity and enable precise air conditioning with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C.
